Why oh why as this not been released on dvd
rip Kevin Armstrong breh
This is awesome, but wish Ronno was a bit louder.
Average guitarist
Thank you for inspiring me to play guitar, Mick. Rest in peace <3
Brings back great memories.
Mick Ronson / Bowie Mick Taylor / Stones MERCI !
I once saw a record review (can't remember who by) that said 'some songs are too classy to be top 20 material'. Ronson was such a force that he was too classy to be the 2nd league rock star that the management wanted him to be. True to himself to the end.
The studio where we recorded this was a great centre of creative production called Scruttocks situataed in Scrutton Street Shoreditch. I'd written the tune with Carl and gott Richard to come in and record a rough guide for the lyrics. However, it stayed in this demo form. Great to look back on those magical times at Pete's in the country and also Johnny and Richard and of course you as Alice. A fabulous legacy for you to pass on to your children. No idea of any work I did with Ola though. Now there's a name I haven't heard for years. Saw her and Johnny's band supporting Rip Rig and Panic at the Arica Centre in Kensington.
Great memories Marc! I love this video & showing my daughter Molly who's around the same age now! Do you still have the original video you did with Ola? ❤
Was Mike Garson on the piano for these gigs?
Yes he was mate, I was there both nights…. Died and gone to heaven
Just WONDERFUL!!!! WE LOVE YOU MICK !!! 3/11/2024. We Miss you!!! 😎 Bob from Michigan
Damn straight Bob 🙌
Sounds like a video game...
Heard this man on records my whole life never knew who he was just stumbled into this man what a great guitar player and I'm going to enjoy the ride
Mick Ronson,, One Of The Greatest Lead Guitar Players of ALL Time!!! He Made Bowie Famous!!! 😎
Awsome
He was great. He used some great notes inside his leads. One of a kind. Died way way too young.
wow I loved this album
Восхитительно!!!
i was watching a video of Mick Ronson and Ian Hunter (Slaughter....) and saw this video. Surprised and happy, thank you mr. Marc Coker.
I find it so sweet that Ian and the band played Mick’s song with him. It’s a lovely video, I really like that version
Ronno at the Rainbow....memories indeed😊
this is insane! hes direction an orchestra while playing crazy guitar solos
bloody hell!! where d'ya get that from? Thanks for sharing!
This was a treat. Thankyou so much for this. Mick 'Ronno' Ronson is one of the greats. What a musician and arranger as well as a great guy. Love him. Thanks again for the upload.
My God wheres the rest of this concert? That was so great.
Ronno sends me in every direction 🥵! One of a few guitarist’s who actually make love to their instrument, another is Rory Gallagher imho.
Also Keith Richards imho
@@BornLate56 Yeah, love Keith Richards too!❣️ And Jimi H.❣️
I was there both nights - second night was fantastic ( he’d lost his nerves ) fantastic guitar player I still adore him
Never mind the guitar stuff, what about the classic mid 70s hair never to be bettered.
Jah Wobble best self taught bass player in the his - her story of the World - since Metal Box, Pil
Rono was the first person I ever saw in concert. At 14 years old I went with my girlfriend to see him at the Hammersmith. Still got the album.
WOW !!!!! 😎
If I hold my phone in portrait, i dont hear his guitar. If I hold my phone in landscape, i get it loud and clear, but dont get the other guitar.
Great Stuff
A true composer and maestro in action
Thank you for this video.
Mick was purely, a class act, in all respects.
One of the most underrated musical figures of his generation.... as an arranger, producer, and.... oh yeah, guitar player
Wonderful!
His compositions are incredible... Kind of reminds me of Randy rhoads...
mick was definitely one of randy rhoads inspirations!
❤superb
I was there man 15 years old got the 106 bus from Limehouse loved him still do
Love it man...Ronson & Bowie were hinged at the hip...awesome...the requisite hair not withstanding. He was great🌎
Brilliant, I love Ronno, even after all these years he is sorely missed. What a talent and totally under valued, there is no doubt in my mind that Bowie would not had got as big as he did 72/73, his meteoric rise to the public consciousness without Mick. Mick is only just starting to get the recognition for his part in Bowie's early success. He was truly a masterful musician, but it was a shame he did not have the confidence to be a front man. This footage is amazing, I wounder if the full show is out there, would be fantastic if it was, and eventually saw the light of day. Thank you for posting it.
I have the same option,,,, 😎
When I was 16 I really wanted to be Mick Ronson, even going to the extent of buying a blonde Les Paul copy. He was an outstanding player. RIP.
The top finish was originally black he sanded off the black finish (in case you did not know that) My first LP was also a blonde/ natural finish also.. AWESOME musician and from all reports a very humble nice guy After all his trade was as a gardener 😂
I can see why; OMG his stage presence~playing, he’s 🥵!
Ronson got me at 14 (1973) with his work on Panic in Detroit...I'd been playing guitar for 2 years and he changed everything...still playing, still in love with Ronno...
You can add me to the list of Ronson wannabes lol
Wonderful. A treasure.
So much out there, not heard, so little time to listen .....ah history. RIP bro.
Thanks, this is so great!
Trevor on Bass ?
Gotta be Garson on piano?
@@martybaggenmusicI was wondering the same thing,, sounds like him,,,😎
@seanhammond4034 def Trevor. The hair is unmistakable lol. And he plays bass for the album so makes sense he’d do the live performances
so much control over space within phrasing it's not nuance though its much more deliberate yet so tasteful and articulate ❤
Amazing
Ace 4 star\
Glad to see this up there at last mate !
Mike Garson on piano I believe
Sounds like Mike !!! 😎
